| First Photos From Pirates Beach - September 16, 2008 Christine Reel entered Pirates Beach as one of the early participants in the "Look & Leave" program. She captured a number of photos of houses along the 4200 block of Buccaneer Boulevard and a few houses to the east and the west of that street. Also a few beach front houses to the east and west were also photographed. Damage looks significant, but mainly on the ground floor. Structural integrity of the upper level of many houses appears to be good. Houses closer to the beach seemed to lso suffer some structural damage to the driveways and foundations. Christine, we all owe you a big thanks for getting us these first look photos. |
