The Texas Gulf Coast Leukemia & Lymphoma Society nominated 20 young men and women as candidates for LLS 2012 "Man & Woman of the Year" award.
The 9 week campaign by each candidate was intended to raise funds for blood cancer research and to raise awareness about leukemia and lymphoma.
The Grand Finale Awards Gala was held at River Oaks Country Club on Friday, June 1, 2012
The 20 candidates in total raised over $580,000.
Brian Ross was named "Man of the Year" for the total of $123,482 raised by Brian and his campaign team.
Harry Faulker was named runner-up, raising over $118,000.
