Rex and Adrian visit London & Paris in June, 2000. We spent a lot of time
with the Royal Family, particularly with Queen Elizabeth. Unfortunately, English
copyright laws prohibit using any pictures of the Queen here. However, she did
help out by taking some of these photos.

A visit to the Millenium Wheel across the river from Parliment. The Wheel is
450 feet high, making it the third tallest point in London.

Each gondola is glass all around and holds 25 people.

Of course, Adrian had her own private gondala.

We could even see our flat from the top of the Millenium Wheel. (Shown below
  near the river)

 On the way down.

It was a bit warm in London, causing several clocks to melt.

Lunch in Adrian's favorite park - The Mount Street Park in Mayfair.

 The park wasn't too crowded.

While in London Adrian auditioned for a lead role in a local production.

The Fosse role didn't work out, so Adrian turned her attention to a more classical
  production - Shakespeare.

Our London flat was a bit small, but did have great telephone service.
We decided to take the Eurostar from London to Paris, and the engineer let
  Adrian drive!

 Lunch at a sidewalk cafe.

Rex found some time to carve a small figure from a rock in the park.

One of the lovely bridges across the Seine.

A boat ride on the Seine went right by our hotel (shown in the backround)

Adran had her book out trying to identify the two landmarks in the right background.
Unfortunately, we were never able to find out what they were, but they sure
  were pretty.

Our boat ride on the Seine took the long way round via New York harbor.

Dinner with Magne and Margrit Sveen in the garden at Pre Catalan

The president of France joined us for a drink.

Magne and Margrit in front of the Schlumberger Tower, which is very similar
  to the Eiffel Tower.
