We head for the up-state New York cliff diving spot.
Having rappeled down the cliff, Adrian takes the last few steps.

We stop by the Olympic ski jump site in Lake Placid.

That evening, on the way to dinner, we encounter a Portugese Water Dog.
Dinner at Bistro du Lac was fabulous.
Heading north the next day, we discover Ausable Chasm.
It's spectacular.
We believe this is an undiscovered site and we are the first to see it.
Later we find some clues which indicate that perhaps others have been here as well.
Nearby we find the ferry across Lake Champlain to Vermont.
The ferry ride lasts about an hour.
The captain asks Adrian to watch for enemy subs, but none are sighted.

The return ferry ride back to NY is much shorter.
Coming into Essex, we see where we had dinner one night.
